A Book! A Book!
One of the several things I did during this past year of pandemic was to write about what was happening around the world, in this country and within my sphere of friends and family. I wanted a record of the year when the world flew off the rails. I wanted a record of the craziness that insued and how we dealt with the threat of a particularly vicious virus running amuck around the globe. I wanted a record – so I wrote it down, as it happened and then pulled the poems together into this lovely little book of poetry called, and yet, The Brown Bird Sings. The book is available from the Putnam Six Bookstore in Enid (putnamsix.com). (You can also Message me and we can Venmo) This is a dream come true for me and I am deeply indepted to my readers, Judith Rycroft, Dorothy Gray, Pat Hoerth Batchelder and Michelle Dotter as well as my wonderful editor and publisher, Cathy Miller at Happy Dance Press in OKC. Cover art is by margee.gaeddert@gmail.com The poem Blizzard on this site is from the new book.
